SOAR Chapter 979 Elects Officers
Nominations for Chapter Officers were held at the October meeting. At this meeting, the following were elected since only one member was nominated for each office: President: Jim Reed; Recording Secretary: Lois Polk; Treasurer: Joe Cofield; Financial Secretary: Eloise Lewis; and Trustees: Ralph Eady, Clarence Everett, and Tom Grivna.
Elections for Vice President and Attendance Secretary were held at the November meeting. Joe Secriskey beat Debbie Thomas-Ward for Vice President. Bobby Shoulders beat Carmen Torres for Attendance Secretary.
Local Union 979 President Mark Granakis swore in the new Chapter officers.
